Jon's students say:

"He was very patient, amiable, and impressed me as one who loves what he does, whether teaching a beginner or an advanced student."

"Jon was a great teacher when I started mandolin as an adult with little musical experience. His structured, supportive approach was just what I needed to get over my limiting beliefs about what I could and couldn't do."

"Jon has a light-hearted approach which helped me work through some technical issues. He is very patient and provides consistent, helpful feedback."

"Jon has patiently guided me along the path. I am a late in life beginning musician. His methods are great and are keeping me excited about learning to play. Jon led jam sessions for a group of his students ... all at various levels of skill. We all played and learned together, and had fun doing it."
